On August 8th, a member of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King’s Fire Investigations Unit was requested by the Spalding Fire Department to assist in a fire investigation on Forest Wood Drive in Griffin. The fire occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. and damaged a 49-year-old, 1474-square-foot residence. The occupant of the home, Ms. Angelina Littles, 28, was taken into custody as a result of the incident.

“A fire was intentionally set in the living room/ kitchen area of the house,” said Commissioner King. “The suspect is being charged with Arson in the 1st Degree and is currently being held at the Spaulding County Jail.”

Commissioner King’s Fire Investigation Unit assisted the Spaulding County Sheriff’s Office and the Spaulding County Fire Department with this matter.
