Clayton County Woman Sells Fraudulent Insurance Policy

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Oluwatosin Oyediran, 21, of Ellenwood, has been charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception. Ms. Oyediran is wanted in connection with a Douglas County case.

In November of 2021, Ms. Oyediran sold a fraudulent auto insurance policy to her victim, charging them over $1,500 via mobile transactions in the span of eight months. The victim discovered the policy was fake when attempting to make a claim following an accident.

“Neither Ms. Oyediran nor her company, Dirt-Cheap Insurance, are licensed to sell insurance in the state of Georgia,” said Commissioner King. “In fact, our office investigated this fraudulent insurance company last year in connection with a Rockdale County case. In the future, we discourage Georgians from purchasing an insurance policy from Dirt-Cheap Insurance.”

Warrants were taken out against Ms. Oyediran on January 17th in Douglas County. She is still wanted at this time.
