ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King today announced a significant auto insurance rate reduction filed by Travelers Property Casualty Insurance Company, delivering substantial savings for Georgia drivers.

The OCI recently approved a filing made by Travelers reflecting an overall 10.1% decrease in private passenger auto insurance rates. The reduction impacts thousands of Georgia policyholders and represents approximately $40 million in premium savings statewide.

“These reductions time and time again demonstrate that Georgia’s insurance market is becoming more competitive and increasingly responsive to consumers,” said Commissioner King. “Our efforts to build an environment centered on stability, accountability, and affordability are producing real results for Georgia families.”

The approved reduction provides meaningful financial relief for households and signals continued improvement in Georgia’s insurance landscape while reflecting the results of recently enacted consumer-oriented policies statewide.
