Commissioner King to Headline Small Business Emergency Preparedness Panel
ATLANTA – Next Wednesday, August 26, Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King will headline a panel for coastal small business owners as part of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center’s Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity Webinar Series.
The panel, which will be moderated by Tim Blanco of Chatham Insurance Partners, will discuss the various disaster insurance coverages available to small businesses on the coast, along with steps business owners should take to prepare for a natural disaster. Jo Ann Oni, Director of Consumer Services for the Insurance Commissioner’s Office, will also participate. The webinar series runs from Monday, August 24, through Thursday, August 27. Other topics include reentry processes from state and local Emergency Management Agencies, available emergency loan programs, and business continuity planning.
