ATLANTA – Fire investigators with the Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a Macon County fire was intentionally set. The fire occurred in the morning hours of Saturday, August 22, at 230 Spaulding Road in Montezuma.

“The fire appears to have been set in a storage area to the right rear side of the commercial structure,” said Commissioner King. “Anyone with information about this fire should contact our Fire Investigations Unit at 1-800-282-5804. Callers can choose to remain anonymous.

Commissioner King’s Fire Investigations Unit is assisting the Montezuma Police Department and Montezuma Fire Department with this ongoing investigation.
