Elbert County Fire Ruled Arson
ATLANTA – The Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a fire in Elbert County has been ruled an act of arson. The fire destroyed a mobile home at 3501 King Hall Mill Road in Bowman around 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11.
“The residents of this 25-year-old, 1,440-square-foot mobile home had been evicted and the power had been shut off a few days prior to the fire,” said Commissioner King. “As we continue investigating this incident, we strongly encourage anyone with information about this fire to contact our State Fire Investigations Unit at 1-800-282-5804.”
Commissioner King’s State Fire Investigations Unit is assisting the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office on this investigation.
