ATLANTA – Today, the Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced that a Twiggs County fire was intentionally set and has been ruled an arson. The fire occurred at 63 Phillips Drive Road in Macon around 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6.

“This 960-square-foot mobile home fire was started on the right side near the home’s front bedroom and kitchen,” said Commissioner King. “An individual was seen at the residence approximately ten minutes before the fire. Our office is speaking to witnesses and persons of interest at this time.”

The home does not have any known mortgage or insurance. Anyone with information about this fire should call the State Fire Investigations Unit at 1-800-282-5804. Callers can remain anonymous on this 24-hour tip line.
