Fannin County Man Arrested for Arson
ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Justin Davenport, 29, was arrested in connection with a Fannin County fire. The suspect is being charged with Arson in the 1st Degree.
The fire occurred on Friday, April 22nd, and caused extreme damage to the 92-year-old, 1032-square-foot home on Aska Road.
“Our investigators arrived on scene just after 3:00 p.m. on the afternoon of the 22nd to find the home almost completely destroyed,” said Commissioner King. “Upon further investigation, the fire was determined to have been intentionally set. After questioning and receiving information from several individuals, our investigators placed Mr. Davenport under arrest for arson.”
Commissioner King’s Fire Investigations Unit is assisting the Fannin County Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office with this investigation.
