ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that an early morning residential structure fire in Roberta killed two victims on Whitaker Road. The single-family dwelling was a complete loss as a result of the fire on January 17th.

“Both victims, presumed to be the residents of the home, were recovered and sent to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy and positive identification,” said Commissioner King. “The area of origin was determined to be the living room of the structure, though the source is still under investigation. No foul play is expected at this time.”
