Arrest Made in Connection to Wheeler County Arson Investigation
ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Rozelle Facison, 49, was arrested in connection with a structure fire in the city of Alamo.
On Monday, May 26, 2025, at approximately 5:26 a.m., the Alamo Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire on Glenwood Road that resulted in a total loss of the structure due to extensive fire damage. During examination of the scene, one deceased canine was located locked in a metal cage. No additional fatalities were reported.
“Upon arrival, investigators performed a burn-pattern analysis and interviewed several witnesses to the fire,” said Commissioner King. “As a result of the investigation, Rozelle Facison was arrested on five charges, including, but not limited to, Arson in the First Degree and Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.”
This case is being worked alongside our partners from Alamo Fire Department, Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office, and the McRae-Helena Police Department.
