ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King today announced an auto insurance rate reduction filed by Safe Auto Choice Insurance Company, resulting in meaningful savings for thousands of Georgia drivers. The filing reflects an overall 9% decrease in private passenger auto insurance rates. This rate reduction is estimated to result in $7.48 million in statewide premium savings.

“These continued reductions show that Georgia’s insurance market is becoming more competitive and increasingly responsive to consumer needs,” said Commissioner King. “Our office remains focused on promoting affordability, transparency, and stability for Georgia families, and filings like this demonstrate real progress.

This announcement builds upon recent reductions from several other companies in the auto insurance market, delivering additional financial relief at a time when many Georgia families are seeking lower costs.

“As conditions in the marketplace improve, we are seeing more companies adjust their rates in ways that directly benefit policyholders,” Commissioner King added. “Our team will continue working every day to ensure a strong insurance environment where Georgia consumers can access affordable and reliable coverage.”

For Georgia families, this reduction means direct and immediate financial relief at a time when many households are feeling the strain of rising costs. A 9% decrease in auto insurance rates can help lower monthly expenses, put more money back in drivers' pockets, and improve overall affordability for essential transportation. The savings represent a meaningful step toward helping Georgia families keep more of their hard‑earned income while maintaining access to reliable coverage.
