Fulton County Woman Charged With Insurance Fraud, Forgery, Identity Theft
ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Damiona Young, 27, of Atlanta, has been charged with insurance fraud, forgery, and identity theft.
Ms. Young opened multiple Geico Insurance policies using the names and information of multiple victims, including fictitious bank account details. She listed several vehicle identification numbers on the policy not owned by the policyholder and began filing glass damage vehicle claims shortly thereafter.
“Ms. Young added the victims as joint account holders to her own bank accounts in order to obtain fraudulent insurance payouts,” said Commissioner King. “Furthermore, our special investigators determined that the invoices submitted from the glass repair shops were falsified. I am proud of our hardworking investigators for closing this case and ensuring justice for Ms. Young’s victims.”
Ms. Young is charged with a total of sixteen counts comprised of eight counts of Insurance Fraud, five counts of Forgery, and three counts of Identity Theft. She is still wanted at this time.
