Man Found Guilty for Menlo Arson

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that on Wednesday, March 2nd, Robert Swearinger, 37, was convicted of Arson in the 1st Degree, Criminal Damage to Property, Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, and Family Violence. The offender was initially arrested in connection with a fire on Riverhaven Lane in Menlo that occurred in August of 2021.

One Killed in Douglasville Fire

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that one person was killed in a Paulding County fire. The accidental fire occurred on Halehaven Drive in Douglasville around 9:37 a.m. on Friday, February 25th. The 30-year-old, 1104-square-foot residence received moderate damage.

Two Killed in Quitman Fire
