Manufactured Housing Wind Zones

Wind zone map of Georgia. 6 coastal counties are Zone 2; the rest of the state is Zone 1

HUD-Code Manufactured Homes sited in the State of Georgia must be constructed by the manufacturer and installed on the homestand by the installer to comply with the requirements of Wind Zone 1 if located in any of the counties shown on the adjacent map in Wind Zone 1. 

Manufactured homes sited in the 6 Wind Zone 2 counties shown on the adjacent map must be constructed by the manufacturer and installed on the homestand by the installer to comply with the significantly more stringent designs for Wind Zone 2.

Wind Zone 2 only affects the 6 counties that touch the coast: Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh, Glynn and Camden.

There are no Wind Zone 3 locations within the State of Georgia.
