Baldwin County Man Charged With Arson

ATLANTA – On July 23, a warrant was issued by Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King’s Fire Investigations Unit charging Darius Antiwon King, 32, of Milledgeville, with Arson in the 1st Degree. The charges stem from his involvement in a July 11 fire at the Relax Inn in Milledgeville. He was arrested by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office on August 1.

“Thanks to the hard work of our investigators on the ground and the local authorities, we were able to quickly identify the suspect in this fire and get him into custody,” said Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King. “We are currently interviewing the suspect to learn additional information about this incident.”

Commissioner King’s Fire Investigations Unit assisted the Milledgeville Fire Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office with this investigation.
