ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Kristie Allen, 45, of Atlanta, has been charged with insurance fraud.

In July of 2021, Ms. Allen reported her vehicle as stolen to the Atlanta Police Department and StateFarm Insurance. The company issued Ms. Allen a payment of $29,418.97 for comprehensive theft coverage as a result of her claim.

“Our investigation revealed that Ms. Allen’s vehicle was not stolen; in fact, she traded in her vehicle towards the purchase of another vehicle at an Atlanta dealership several months prior,” said Commissioner King. “These types of illegal actions drive up insurance rates for all Georgians, and I am proud of the work our investigators have done to close this case.”

Warrants were taken out against Ms. Allen on September 23rd, 2022, for one count of Insurance Fraud. She is still wanted at this time.
