Fulton County Woman Charged with Additional Counts of Insurance Fraud, Forgery, Identity Theft
ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Damiona Young, 27, of Atlanta, has accrued additional charges with our office: two counts of insurance fraud, one count of forgery, and one count of identity theft.
In October, Ms. Young was charged with eight counts of insurance fraud, five counts of forgery, and three counts of identity theft in connection with several fraudulent glass repair invoices. Recently, Ms. Young has stolen another victim’s identity in an attempt to procure additional insurance payouts.
"Using the victim’s personal identifying information, Ms. Young applied for a policy with Progressive Insurance,” said Commissioner King. “Once obtaining the policy, she filed two fraudulent insurance claims worth just over $2,400. Ms. Young is a repeat offender with this office, and we urge anyone with information about her to call our tip line at 404-463-6363.”
Ms. Young is still wanted at this time.
