ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Dianne Curry, 62, of Macon, has been charged with one count of insurance fraud.

In 2016, Ms. Curry submitted a life insurance application for a juvenile to Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company, indicating that she was the grandmother of the proposed insured.

“When the juvenile passed away in December of 2020, Ms. Curry received a $35,000 payout from the life insurance policy,” said Commissioner King. “Ms. Curry revealed in a subsequent interview that she was not the grandmother of the juvenile and the two had no familial relationship.”

Warrants were taken out against Ms. Curry in Bibb County on April 3rd. She is still wanted at this time.
