ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a structure fire on West Crawford Street in the city of Quitman is under investigation. 

“At approximately 6:24 a.m. on October 23, 2024, a fire was reported at Modern-Day Holiness Church in Brooks County,” said Commissioner King. “With the assistance of an Ignitable Liquid K-9 Detection unit, investigators have found evidence of possible accelerants at the scene. I urge anyone with information to call the 24/7 Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.”

A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for arson. Callers may remain anonymous.
