Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Georgia Administrative Procedure Act, O.C.G.A. Sections 50-13-3, 50-13-4, 50-13-6, 50-13-21, and 33-2-9 of the following proposals by the Commissioner of Insurance to amend the Rules and Regulations of the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire.

By Amending Regulation Chapter 120-2-3-.13 entitled “Renewal of Educational Providers and Instructors”

By Amending Regulation Chapter 120-2-3-.14 entitled “Resident Agent Personal Lines License”

By Amending Regulation Chapter 120-2-3-.15 entitled “Resident Continuing Education Requirements”

By Amending Regulation Chapter 120-2-3-.16 entitled “Dates for Resident License Renewal and Required Filing of Continuing Education Credits”

By Amending Regulation Chapter 120-2-3-.48 entitled “Navigator”

By Promulgating Regulation Chapter 120-2-111 entitled “Patient’s Right to Independent Review”
The primary purpose of the proposed changes to all Regulation Chapters noted above is to modernize and modify the regulations, increase departmental efficiency in delivering services, and bring them into conformity with industry best practices to the benefit of Georgia Consumers.
The Rules and Regulations of the Office of the Safety Fire Commissioner are proposed to be amended by the following actions:

Oral presentations at the hearing may be limited to five (5) minutes per person in order to afford all interested persons an opportunity to be heard. Based upon full consideration of all written and oral comments regarding the above matters, the Commissioner of Insurance may reject or adopt the proposed rules or may make changes to the proposed rules which may require another rulemaking hearing.
