Colbert Fire Intentionally Set

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a Madison County fire was intentionally set. The fire occurred at approximately 6:22 a.m. on January 20th on Childers Road. The fire totally destroyed the 20-year-old, 2300-square-foot residence. 

Dry Branch Man Killed in Fire

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Michael Curry, 62, was killed in a Twiggs County fire on Saturday, January 22nd. The accidental fire occurred on Home House Drive in Dry Branch around 7:30 a.m. The 52-year-old 576-square-foot trailer was completely destroyed.

One Killed in Demorest Fire

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Johnny Lee Higginbotham, 54, was killed in a Habersham County fire on Friday, January 21st.

Two Killed in Rabun County Fire

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that two people were killed in a Rabun County fire. The fire occurred on Western Way in Rabun Gap around 7:23 a.m. on Thursday, January 13th. The 14-year-old, 3000-square-foot home was completely destroyed by the fire.

One Arrested in Connection with Milton Fire

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Erica Vosges, 30, was arrested in connection with a Fulton County fire. The suspect is being charged with Arson in the 1st Degree.

One Arrested in Connection with Alpharetta Fire

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Jesse Hooper, 52, was arrested in connection with a Fulton County Fire. The suspect is being charged with Arson in the 1st Degree and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

Woodland Woman Arrested for Arson

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Kimberly Holmes, 38, was arrested on November 19th in connection with a Talbot County fire. The suspect is being charged with Arson in the 1st Degree.

Two Wanted for Peach County Fraud, Forgery

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that warrants have been issued for Erline Womack, 59, and Quatisha Porter, 40, for one count of Insurance Fraud and one count of Forgery in the 1st Degree each. Both suspects are wanted in connection with a Peach County Case.  

Covington Car Fire Intentionally Set

Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a vehicle in Newton County was intentionally set on fire. The fire occurred on Baker Street in Covington around 1:20 a.m. on Friday, December 31st. The 2019 black Chevrolet Impala suffered severe damage.
