Charitable Gift Annuities 

 

  • As of September 13, 2024, this entity type licensing process has been relocated to Sircon.com. GIMS is no longer the system of record for this entity type.   • To Apply for a Charitable Gift Annuities Registration
    • After accessing www.Sircon.com/Georgia, select Apply for a License for new registrations. 
      • Select New Insurance Licenses and then Resident or Non-Resident. 
        • Resident licenses are for business addresses in Georgia. Non-resident should be selected if the business address is not located in Georgia. 
      • All communications are via email. Please be sure to enter a correct email address and check spam/junk folders after submittals for information on the application process. 
    • Registrations applications are required to be filed electronically
    • Provide correct business and mailing address,  phone numbers, email address and website for organization
    • Articles of Incorporation 
    • Audited Financials are required to be submitted for the previous two years with a minimum of $300,000 in unrestricted cash, cash equivalents, or publicly traded securities
    • Citizenship affidavit and acceptable ID of a responsible person of the organization 
    • No fee filing but a processing fee will be charged
  • To Renew a Charitable Gift Annuities Registration
    • Note: You could encounter issues with accessing your record at Sircon.com due to incorrect EINs in the entity record. Please email [email protected] with the name of your entity, license number, correct EIN and contact information. We will update that information in the record so access to filing renewals can be completed. 
    • Renewals are available to be submitted 90 days prior to the 12/31 deadline. A reminder email will be sent to the contact email on record
      • Renewals are required to be filed electronically
      • Audited Financials are required to be submitted
      • Citizenship affidavit and acceptable IDs are only required if the responsible party is a non-citizen or if there is a change in the responsible party since the previous filing
      • Access www.Sircon.com/georgia and go to "Renew or Reinstate a License" 
        • Select Renew Insurance License
        • Select Firm
        • Renewal State - Select Georgia 
        • Enter information on record to access renewal
          • Enter EIN
          • Select Georgia as Resident state - location of your office is not needed for this entity type
          • Enter License Number
          • Click on Continue
      • Review and update all contact information
      • Upload Financials and, only if a new responsible individual, the citizenship affidavit and ID
      • No filing fee but a processing fee could be charged
  • What to Expect after Filing an Application or Renewal
    • You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of the filing.
    • We endeavor to review and process all filings within five (5) business days of receipt. Any missing requirements or questions will be sent via email from the Sircon system to the applicant email address. The issues must be resolved within 60 (sixty) days of that notice or the application could be closed incomplete and you will be required to reapply.
    • If the application is approved, an email will be sent with the registration information.
